Children Services
We realise how demanding it is for carers and families to nurture and look after their children/young people, more so if the children/young people have Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. Our Children Respite Services support families by providing short breaks for parents or carers enabling them to take a much-needed break from their caring role.
Individualised Short Breaks Support comes in many different forms. Provision can range from a few hours a week to an allocated number of overnight breaks per year. The break may be in the child's own home, or away from their home in a residential or community setting.
Our Short Breaks promote inclusion by supporting the child/young person to access their local community with our carers support, a chance to participate in fun activities away from their norm hence promoting their self-confidence, independence, and self-fulfilment. We aim to build up on everyone’s strengths and support them to explore new activity options.
We work in a person-centred way providing practical and emotional support to the child/young person, to enable them to meet the goals and outcomes identified in their support plan.
We are always looking for compassionate, caring, fun loving people who enjoy engaging activities to join our staff.
